Marnie (Female, 10 Months Old)
AFFECTIONATE – AVAILABLE NOVEMBER - TAKING APPLICATIONS NOW
...
Marnie and her four tiny kittens were dumped outside the vets on Macon Way, left in a carrier together as a little family. Alongside them were two older cats, who may possibly be Marnie’s siblings. They had been abandoned in an air fryer box.
Thankfully, the kind team at RSPCA Crewe and Nantwich District stepped in and took the two older cats into their care, while Marnie and her four babies came to CAFO Rescue.
When Marnie arrived with us, she was little more than a kitten herself — yet somehow, she had already given birth to four beautiful babies.
The strain of giving birth so young, combined with the size of her kittens, had taken a huge toll on her tiny body. When she first went to the vets, she was unable to properly control her bowels.
Our vets warned us that it could take months for her to return to normal. There was even a possibility that she might never fully recover. But Marnie had other ideas. With the treatment, care and support recommended by our vets, this brave little girl has made the most incredible progress. She is now using her litter tray, her poos are improving every single day, and most importantly, she is looking and feeling so much happier and healthier.
And then there’s Marnie herself…
She is quite simply the most loving little girl you could ever meet. She absolutely adores people, loves nothing more than sitting with you, soaking up attention and feeling safe.
And, best of all, she has started learning how to play!
Watching her discover toys and begin to enjoy herself is incredibly special. For the first time, she is getting to experience what it means to simply be a young cat.
She should never have had to become a mum while she was still a baby herself. But despite everything, Marnie has been the most amazing mum to her four little boys. She has cared for them, protected them and given them everything she possibly could.
Once her kittens are fully weaned and Marnie has been neutered, this beautiful little girl will deserve a very special home of her own — somewhere she can be spoiled rotten, surrounded by love and finally enjoy the carefree kittenhood she was never given the chance to have.
