What We Do
At Cafo Rescue, we’re dedicated to the welfare of cats in our community.
We assist with cat surrenders, offering compassionate support and rehoming options.
We respond to reports of injured or stray cats, providing care and trying to reunite them with their owners.
We also handle reports of deceased cats with respect, aiming to identify them and bring closure to families.
When we can, we carry out Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) to humanely manage stray and feral cat populations.

Need to Surrender a Cat?
At Cafo Rescue, we know life can change. If you can no longer care for your cat, we’re here to help—without judgment and with the cat’s well-being as our top priority.

We offer two surrender options:
-
Rehome from Home – We help you find a new home for your cat without bringing them into our care.
-
Foster Intake – For urgent cases, cats may enter our foster network for assessment and care.
Space is limited, so we prioritise based on need—not first-come, first-served.
Every situation is different. Contact us to see how we can help.

Stray or Injured Cats
When a cat is reported as stray or injured, we act quickly to assess and help.
We always try to identify an owner first by scanning for a microchip and checking with locals.

If the cat is clearly sick or hurt, we’ll safely transport it for urgent care. When stable, it may return to its original location while we continue looking for an owner.

If no owner is found after 7 days and the cat isn’t thriving outside, we try to bring it into foster care—if space allows.
Each case is handled with care and the cat’s best interest in mind.

Deceased Cats
We believe every cat deserves dignity and every owner deserves closure.
When a deceased cat is reported, we scan for a microchip and try to contact the owner with care.
If no chip is found, the cat is held safely at a vet clinic while we continue efforts to identify and reach the family
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)
When possible, we humanely trap, neuter, and return stray or feral cats to help control the local population.
We assess each cat’s condition and check for ownership before deciding if returning, rehoming, or fostering is the best option.
Each case is handled with care and compassion.
