For the past two months, this poor lad has been frequenting a garden where a very kind lady has been leaving food out and slowly gaining his trust. The closest she ever managed to get to him was around 4–5 feet — enough to know he needed help, but not enough to catch him.

She got in touch with us, and today, with the help of one of our traps, Sid finally went in. Straight off to the vets he went! They confirmed what we suspected — he’s feral. Confinement would have been too stressful for him, so instead, he was neutered, flea-treated, wormed, and ear-tipped (a universal sign that a feral cat has been neutered).

His lovely finder will continue caring for him in the way he's used to — living his life outdoors with daily meals of Iams and Purina One they are also getting him a cat shelter if he's around when the weather gets bad if he forgives them for today. 😂

Neutering means no more wandering for females or fighting for territory — a big win for Sid and the local cat community.

💛 A massive thank you to his amazing carer Deb godfrey for giving him the life he knows and keeping him safe.

Not every cat dreams of life on a sofa — some, like Hissing Sid, prefer the great outdoors and the freedom that comes with it.

Enjoy your life, Sid — just the way you like it. 🌿🐾
