These lovely boys were straying around a supermarket car park.
They are a bonded pair, so they will only be rehomed together. But they are not your typical confident, sit-on-your-knee-straight-away kittens. They need someone who understands that trust takes time.
Ronnie is the more confident of the two and will come around much quicker.
Reggie is still learning to trust people. He has made fantastic progress and is now coming out much more, but it has taken a long time for him to build trust with his foster mummy who has been working incredibly hard with both boys since they came into Cafo, spending lots of time helping them feel safe and secure.
Because of the progress they have made, they are now ready to find their forever home. Their next home needs to be the right home and their last home. We cannot have them coming back, as this would be a huge setback for them.
We need someone who:
Wants a bonded pair of kittens and understands they may not want cuddles straight away
Has plenty of time and patience to allow them to settle at their own pace
Can give them lots of human contact and reassurance
Ideally works from home, is retired, or spends lots of time at home
Has a quiet, calm household
Understands that Reggie may hide and watch from a safe place initially
Is happy to keep them strictly indoors
Can keep them in one room initially, with you spending lots of time with them, before gradually giving them more space
Understands that building their confidence will take patience and consistency
They are fine with other cats, but their new home must be quiet and they must be indoor cats. This is really important for their confidence and safety.
We truly believe that, with the right person, Ronnie and Reggie will grow into absolutely lovely, affectionate companions. They just need somebody who is prepared to let them get there in their own time.
