Female, 3 Years Old - This is Maya, who came into our care at the same time as her son Gringo. A social worker reached out to us with concerns, and sadly both Gringo and Maya had been suffering. Gringo was malnourished, and poor Maya had another four kittens.

When she arrived, Maya was painfully thin, covered in fleas, full of worms, and struggling to produce milk due to back-to-back pregnancies. Our main priority was making sure she and her kittens were safe, fed, and loved. Thanks to her amazing fosterer, she’s now finally getting the care, food, and affection she’s been desperate for. 💕

Maya has the most stunning emerald-green eyes. At first, she can be nervous and skittish, but once she learns to trust you, she’s the sweetest snuggle bug. She’s been an incredibly protective mum, so for now we’d say she’s best as an only pet – though this may change once her kittens are grown and find homes of their own.

Maya has since found her perfect forever home!
