We were contacted by the vets about this very special boy, Erik. Earlier this spring, two kind ladies found Erik struggling with a large abscess on his back. They didn’t hesitate. Instead of turning away, they rushed him straight to the vets for treatment and continued to watch over him long after, making sure he was safe and cared for.

They did everything they could to find his family, advertising him locally and giving his owners every chance to come forward — but sadly, no one ever did.

Determined to give Erik the best possible future, they took him back to the vets to be neutered and microchipped, hoping this would mark the beginning of a safer, more settled life for him. While there, he was tested for FIV — and heartbreakingly, the result came back positive.

Because of this, Erik has come into our care. He is a truly gentle, affectionate boy, and it’s devastating to see yet another unneutered cat left to fend for himself, only to become FIV positive through no fault of his own.

Erik is safe and warm with our fosterer, where he’s enjoying comfort, kindness, and full bellies. He's adorable, loving, and quiet. He's settled in to indoor life brilliantly. He deserves nothing less than a home filled with love, warmth, and understanding — and we truly believe that family is out there waiting for him.
